I am no longer pursuing a future in art.

Rachel, That’s too bad. I was looking forward to seeing your one minute sculptures. Do you know what kind of future you will be pursuing?
I’m guessing from your pecha kucha that you will be pursuing writing….(?) Fill me in as you know more. I’d like to see what you are up to.  J.L.

I will still complete my AFO courses for the Spring semester, but I won’t be going into an art department this Fall. As much as I enjoy art, I am a private person (sometimes to a fault) when it comes to my work, and I would not “make it” without opening up more. I would also have to be more willing to accept outside influences. My future is indefinite at the moment, but I know I would like to study some sciences as well as psychology and sociology.

I hadn’t considered pursuing writing, though. I’ll keep it in mind.

Flight of Icarus, an act from Cirque du Soleil’s Varekai. This clip reaches the best part a little after two minutes. The passion I can see in the actor’s face and movements here makes me truly appreciate the fact that I’ve seen the live performance of this show more than once (both times before he was replaced by a new actor).

Performances like these make me wish I had become a dancer of some sort instead of a visual artist, though this would not be considered dance. It’s more in the fluidness of his movements, his balance and subtle strength that I see Dance.

Time to give you another scene from The Wall. This one happens to be one of my favourites.

Pustota - Theodor Bastard
Video made by Kol Belov  (a clearer version can be found on Newgrounds)

It’s a slightly “dark” flash video with what I’ll call Russian trance music in the background. I love the city in which it takes place.

I’m definitely walking—no access to a car, and all.

Well if you don’t mind… lets walk together ^^

I don’t mind, but I don’t know where I would meet you, or when.
